IPTV for Hockey: Every Period, Every Playoff Round

A Full Hockey Season on One Plan

• The NHL regular season from October through April, with national and regional broadcasts.
• Saturday night hockey, a Canadian tradition, every week of the season.
• Playoffs from April to June, when every game matters.
• International tournaments, junior hockey and the World Juniors over the holidays.
• Pre-game shows, intermissions and post-game analysis.

For Canadian Fans

In Canada, hockey is spread across several networks and an extra sports package, which is how a cable bill grows. Mom IPTV includes the Canadian and US sports channels in one subscription, so following a team from Montreal to Vancouver doesn't need a pile of add-ons.

Prices are in US dollars and work out to about the cost of a single sports add-on with cable, for the whole lineup.

Never Miss a Late Game

West Coast games start late in the East, and Eastern games start at dinner time out West. The TV guide in TiviMate or IPTV Smarters shows start times in your own time zone once you set the offset, so you always know when puck drop is. Following other sports too? Start with the best IPTV for sports fans.

• Set your player's EPG time zone to where you live.
• Favorite your team's regional channel.
• Use a second screen for scores around the league on busy playoff nights.

Hockey Streaming Tips

• Hockey moves fast, so use the FHD version of a channel on a good connection for the clearest view of the puck.
• Turn off motion smoothing on your TV; it can blur fast skating on compressed streams.
• Use a wired connection for the main TV on playoff nights, when demand is highest.
• Keep a second channel in your favorites in case your first choice is between broadcasts.

Holiday Hockey and International Tournaments

Some of the best hockey of the year happens outside the regular season. The world junior tournament around the holidays is a fixture in Canadian homes, and international tournaments bring national teams together every year. These air on sports channels in the Mom IPTV lineup, often early in the morning, so the TV guide's time zone setting is worth getting right.

With a multi-device plan, the hockey fan can keep the game on while the rest of the family watches the holiday movies on another screen.

Following Your Team Across the Border

Fans who live far from their team often struggle to find its games on local TV. With Mom IPTV's US and Canadian sports networks, a fan in Florida can follow a Canadian team and a fan in Toronto can follow a US team, all from the same plan. Fight night after the game? See IPTV for boxing and MMA.
