TiviMate Setup Guide: Add Your IPTV Playlist Step by Step

TiviMate is the IPTV player most power users end up with: a cable-style TV guide, fast channel switching and tidy favorites. This TiviMate setup guide walks you through installing it, adding your Xtream Codes playlist and the settings worth changing.

  • Firestick, Android TV, Google TV
  • Xtream Codes or M3U
  • Best TV guide of any player

Install TiviMate

Add Your Playlist With Xtream Codes

  1. 1Open TiviMate and select Add Playlist.
  2. 2Choose Xtream Codes as the playlist type.
  3. 3Enter the server address exactly as it appears in your welcome message, including http:// and the port.
  4. 4Enter your username and password, then select Next.
  5. 5Give the playlist a name, like Mom IPTV, and leave TV guide and VOD turned on.
  6. 6Select Done. TiviMate loads your channels and the TV guide, which can take a minute or two the first time.

Prefer M3U? Choose M3U playlist instead of Xtream Codes and paste your M3U link. Xtream Codes is better because the guide and VOD load automatically.

Settings Worth Changing

  • Settings, then EPG, then Update on app start: keeps the guide current.
  • Settings, then EPG, then EPG time offset: fix programs showing at the wrong time.
  • Settings, then Playback, then Buffer size: set to Medium or Large if streams stutter (more in our IPTV buffering guide).
  • Hide the channel groups you never watch to make scrolling faster.
  • Long-press any channel to add it to Favorites.

Free vs Premium TiviMate

The free version handles one playlist and the basic TV guide, which is all most people need. TiviMate Premium is a small yearly payment to the app's developer and adds catch-up, recording, multiple playlists, custom groups and more guide options. It's sold by the app developer, separately from your Mom IPTV subscription. Not sure TiviMate is right for you? Compare Mom IPTV player apps.

Organize Your Channels in TiviMate

  • Hide groups you don't watch: open the channel list, select a group, and choose Hide group.
  • Reorder groups so your favorites and sports appear at the top.
  • Use Favorites for your daily channels; it becomes its own group at the top of the guide.
  • Rename channels to shorter names if long titles get cut off on your TV.

Troubleshooting TiviMate

  • Playlist won't load: check the server address, including http:// and the port, then try again.
  • Channels load but won't play: switch the player between the internal and external decoder in Playback settings.
  • Wrong times in the guide: set the EPG time offset under Settings, then EPG.
  • App feels slow: hide unused groups and clear the app's cache from your device settings.
